Mistrust
My words depart as I try
To explain these happenings
Mistrust has poke its ugly head
And is dragging my family apart
Husband against wife
Mother against daughter
Brother against sister
We all are pointing blaming fingers at bloodline
Burning our eyes with hatred
With no prophecy of it ever ending
I’m on a cross road not knowing where to look
Lost in flying words
Words thrown out of anger
Mouth felled with sour love and sweet hatred
Eyes swollen with pain and anger
Face deformed with fold marks
Decedent’s of Cain we have become
Investigating each other
And forgetting to be each other’s keeper
Stretching leg at a moving brother
Folding arms at a falling him
We all are masters in our own worlds
A lone wolf we have become
So I sought to find a solution
To close Pandora’s box
And seek the paradise that is long lost
I hope to find remedy to end a family heritage
The only treasure that we have.
