Mistress

There as she sat waiting for her lover to come, a night watcher silently stood gazing from behind. Time is passing, and candle's light dancing to the silence of the night: Here he is I hear his footsteps coming, or is this the sound of my heart beating fast.

A lovely write the form is simply Verse [ABC form ex: Any Body Can Do Exercise For Great Hamstrings I Just Kiss Little Men Of Priceless ..etc to the end of the english alphabet there is also one other way to do ABC form] you are a welcomed and excellent writer I look forward to reading more of your writes. Beautiful poem... I love the part about the woman thinking she's hearing her lover's footsteps advancing somewhere maybe up the stairs but then she also could be hearing the sound of her own beating heart anticipating her lover is near. That was so nice!
