Mistakes

We all make mistakes.
How we embrace them defines
the “who and what” that makes
the web of tangled vines
of our psyche.

We are so fortunate
to have a friend who will tell
that we have as of late
been under our own spell
of self advice.

It’s a known postulate
that advice we think best,
considering our own fate,
is out shined, put to the test
of our waiting.

Accept considerations
offered from experience,
concerning applications
tendered to resilience
of our being.

Greate write Charles! Reminds me to remind myself to consider the opinions that others have of my own opinions. Sometime constructive criticisms, are moral ways of improving one's characters. Agape, Moses

Only a true friend will tell you when you are headed down the wrong path, Charles. People usually just turn away from those who have made mistakes without trying to help them. Before I make major decisions, there is a group of people with whom I consult because they'll give it to me straight. This is an excellent poem! Love, Carolyn
