Mistaken Emotions

Never mistake kindness for love
It can be totally selfish
Life for humans not simple dove
Like man who sees a walking dish
It is not love_not from above

Most of what humans want_desire
Is from a heart of self aflame
Selfish motivations transpire
Somehow we ourselves can not tame
Unless in heart Agape love came

So true, Sara! Giggled at "a walking dish":) A powerful message here! There is nothing "simple" with love. Eyes are the windows of the soul, but love resides in the heart. Great message here! Best wishes to you and yours, Mikki

a very true piece of poetry, many times we mistake emotion for love, real love is giving, not taking. loved this one you penned for us. thank you for commenting on Caressing White Clouds.
