Mistake

Tears of hatred stream down my face
Visions of you I can't seem to erase

My lonliness comes and goes
I've told you things that no one knows

Long days of stress you do produce
I don't deserve this demeaning use

Wanting to tell you where you can go
Yet I never allow my feelings to show

But one day soon you'll come to find
That I am running through your mind

What a stupid thing that you have done
Yet you don't own up, you decide to run

While confronted about it you choose to lie
And I forgive you, with a simple sigh

My attention span is wearing thin
I'm not careless as I once had been

So now you allow your true colors to show
Where there once stood a friend, now lays a foe

These reactions you always seem to create
Maybe has all along been my fate

My tears are dried before reaching the floor
My body aches from within the core

All I can say is you've made a mistake
And from this dream, you'll soon awake

You're not the only one, I've made mistakes too
But I never thought that mistake would be you
