Missing You

The nights are cold and lonely
Without you by my side.
My pillow has been soaked
With the lonely tears I've cried.
The days are long and dull,
Even the sun has lost its cheer.
You've only been gone a week,
But it still feels like a year.
I miss waking up
To see your smiling face.
Now I open my eyes
Just to see an empty space.
I miss going to sleep
With you holding me tight,
After you've locked every door,
And turned out every light.
