Missing You

I spoke to you just the other day
We didn't really have much to say
Both knew how much we cared
Remembering all the time we shared
Not long ago

How do you live without the one you love
Without that one who was sent from above
Days grow long and the nights are cold
Always missing the one you used to hold
I love you so

I thought time would ease the pain
In the end it just fanned the flame
I feel for you deep in my heart
Nothings changed, not from the start
I hope you know

I promised I'd love you to the end
Strong and steady like the wind
A gift to you no one could buy
My love for you will never die
But I'll miss you so

Soon I'll be seeing you again
To kiss your cheek and ask how you've been
Please, baby, don't shed a tear
Don't worry now, its just one year
Not much to go
And I love you so

This is excellent. It flows very well and has a soft touch. I can see the images of the last stanza of the tears shedding. It's just amazing how the circle of life works. Great job and welcome to poetry Soup. ~Joseph
