Missing People

Missing People

_______________
_______________

It's funny how the
months go by,

when people pass
away

and even though
you miss them

they're
remembered every
day.

You remember
every memory,

until the very last

and it all comes
flooding in

to the present,
from the past.

You wish that you
could talk to them,

tell them how you
feel

and your heart still
aches in pain

but seems to
slowly heal.

You know, that
they're okay,

they don't have to
be in pain

you just love them
very much

and for that you
don't complain.

Sometimes you
look for answers,

no matter how
they come

cause somehow, it
helps you heal

and you feel, not
as numb.

part ll So many were taken by car accidents, others suicide, a few shot, two O.D...I have suffered from depression in the past due to these deaths, At 37 yrs old I have just recently come to grips with several of the bright points you made in this freaking phenomenal poem, THanX for helping me think positive with this read! You are so welcome JSL, and I am sorry depression has hit you hard. I don't think I have actually had a complete break down since Mom passed, just small ones in between. Stop by any time and I will do the same . Take care my friend~ Jess

unfortunately and fortunately, this one got me too. You flipped the coin with this piece and shone light upon the dark side of life, (or so we think) DEATH. The U.S. is one of the few countries that mourn death so hard. Many cultures celebrate it as the only thing in life we all must do. Two of my ex girlfriends died very young, both in car accidents. Also, for some odd reasons, I have more dead friends than I currently have alive.

I am deeply sorry for you losses JSL. I hope life finds you in a better place now. I lost my Mom to cancer this last November, not to mention all the other fam and people I know who have passed not too long ago. We all take it day to day. I get release through my writing. Take care my friend, and thanks for the comments. ~ Jess
