Missing Daddy a Children's Poem About Loss
MISSING DADDY
When I think about my daddy
I cry and cry and cry
I cry so much
I lost my eye
Then I think about my mother
She plays baseball with my brother
And she reads to me at night
Always leaves a little light
When I cried and cried and cried
She gave a big-bear big hug
Then she tucked me safe in bed
Like a roley-poley bug
she peeked into my pocket
kissed me on my head
gave me back the eye I lost
was under Sister's bed.
I still think about my daddy
sometimes cry and cry and cry
but now i cry
and have 2 eyes.
