Missing

I don't know who you are
Or where you may be
You could be way out of touch
Or right in front of me

I want to hold you close
I want to kiss
I want to experience new things
I want someone to miss

Lay awake at night and talk for hours
Together we can grow
I don't know where you are
But I need you more then you know

So where are you?
Please, reveal yourself to me
I want to be happy
And you can set me free

I need you now
Just show your face
Don't hold out on me
Give my heart a reason to race

But I want it to last
Forever, we can grow old
Together stay close
Let our lives unfold

But where are you now?
Come out, do not hide
I want someone to love
Come lay by my side

I already miss you
And we have yet to meet
I want to love
A girl that is so sweet

But I love what I have not met
So please come find me
Or let me find you
Between us this love,
Can become true

It's great the way you keep your hope alive while searching for the girl of your dreams, Matthan. So many writers speak of loneliness, but often these poems make us feel there is no hope that they will find someone. Hang onto that hope; there must be a woman out there waiting to meet a man with a true, romantic heart. Very nice poem! It leaves the reader with hope, too. Love, Carolyn
