Missed Opportunity
Tears well up in my eyes
As the words run through my mind
How I was such a fool
For thinking I could love someone like you
Or is it that I'm so unsure
Of what that really means
Or possibly that I don't believe
That you could love someone like me
My heart and my head are so full of doubt
They go round and round battling it out
One says I'm a fool for even taking a chance
The other has convinced me that I fell for you at first glance
Or is it that my perspective
Is just so twisted
Or possibly that the opportunity is there
And I will be the one to miss it
