Miss Lady Day

Lady Day -
In love with you I fell!
After devouring Strange Fruit
Your personal interminable hell -
On stage, ending of every performance,
You cried,
Because it assaulted you
Profoundly inside.
Beautiful Lady -
You should be crowned
For your illustrious voice,
Treasure unbound.

Inspired by Billie Holiday.

She was a truly incredible lady. He life, her bio, is amazingly sad... and she died so young. Bur her music, her voice- always brings tears to my eyes.
