Miss Hornet and the Bee Hive Fling

Virginia was looking for an adventure at sea
Her life was turned upside down due to being a worker bee
Stress took its toll in her honey loving hive
When one morning her romantic fantasy took a dive
Entering her cubicle filled with wax
Virginia was not prepared for the emotional attack
There was a delivery from a man who was her best
Had the control and sometimes acted like a pest
Opening the envelope there was a filled out form
That basically said, ‘I wish you were never born’
Feeling very scorned
She sat in her chair
Wondering who he had the affair
Was it Wendy who was good at doing a sale?
And numbers went up when profits did not fail
Dyson rolled the dice
Being ever so nice
Doing the financial book
With her glasses on she did have that look
Then there was Karen
At the bar she was luring, flirting, loving, and daring
Taking off the ring that said,
“I want you to be the one I wed”
Not in debt
Virginia greeted her teeth
Feeling the anger and heat
“There is something you should know
You were never my beau”
A message that had a sinister glow
Headed south Virginia did go
Ending a life highlighted being 'Bambi' the morning nimble doe
Leaving the secure corporate space
No longer wanting to fake that cover girl smile on her face
Paradise a waits
No obligations single fighting off hate
Weeks past
Peace at last
Then Virginia learned
A tragedy to her ex-boyfriend’s firm
A nasty giant bug spread throughout the perfect corporate land
Virginia relaxed enjoying the sand
A text did ping
“Miss Hornet here is the settlement from the working bee fling”
Smiling she reflected back
Knowing it was now fact
She was no fool
Watching the ocean blue
Since they had no case
Due to being confused in a rat race
