Misfit

All that ever remains
Nothing more than simply a self to be
If even time is never the same
Simply nothing more is a self to see

And I’m to experience
A misfit amongst body and soul
Sharing within... the distance
With neither to ever fit my misfit role

Perhaps a devil within
Perhaps a devil without
Perhaps a god therein
Simply a me... never to be proud

Never too far, ever too near
Ever in question, never an answer
A scariness with never the fear
Perhaps a never more... yet ever lesser

What is to remain?
Nothing more then simply a self to be
Time... never to be forever the same
Myself... am not forever to see
