Mirrors Srorrim
Loving family members gather around the
bed of a dying soul, awaiting transformation
Fiftieth wedding anniversary, twists and turns
A marriage ceremony in a quaint town
A college degree conferred upon the star athlete
Homecoming queen
Cheerleading team
Marching band
Dark or light tan
Youthful angst navigating a treacherous world
Trying to find meaning amongst cruel jabs and
Malicious blows
Innocence stolen as fast as the rising wind
As swift as an eagle
Jubilant Cries
Truthful lies
Fall leaves
Evergreen trees
A nightly visitor in the form of a train drowns the screams and
cries of a helpless soul looking for solace, for peace
No one comes
No help arrives
Painful moments
usher in a new dawn
The soul of an undiscovered love
Looming on
The horizon
Loving family members gather around the bed of a woman, pregnant
with hope, waiting to be born.
