Mirrors
What we teach our children
Determines who they'll be
They closely watch the life we live
And mimick what they see
We teach them how to love someone
And yes, we even teach them hate
We teach them what patience means
Each time we make them wait
We teach them to be honest
And to always keep your word
We teach them everyone's equal
No matter what they've heard
We teach them about kindness
And to lend a helping hand
We tell them about the things of God
And pray they understand
We teach them about finance
To be careful when they spend
We teach them to be faithful
To the ones they call a friend
We are our children's mirror
That reflect who they'll become
Be careful what you teach them
And be proud of what you've done
