Hansteven Selfa Poet Rhyme

Mirror of Memories

People have always told me afore 
That everything happens for a reason 
But lately when I wake up at four 
I just don't know what is going on 
 
The blue-painted walls and the curtain 
Covered with home appurtenances 
O, and the sunlight, inside creeping 
Will I ever have second chances? 
 
A chance to remember yesteryear 
And the things that I always ask 'How?' 
For oblivion is what I do fear 
Can I have this second chance right now? 
 
Every night before I go to sleep 
I pray to God for a better day 
Remember memories that I keep 
And please do never drift them away.
