Mirror of Blame, Mirror of Smoke
Silently the words will take you in
Meanings, reflecting eyes drown everything
Relentless, no hope left in despair
Forget trust, you’re far too lost now in your head
Addicted to that voice inside your mind
Friends suffer, but there is no choice that you can find
Step back, forget that you were there
And now there’s nothing as you pray you knew who you were
Take it in, the air and nothing else
The soul will never win in a life built unprepared
Everything has gone too far, but try and set the pace
Hold your breath and take a look in to its face
Fall down in this race
Be disgraced
Turn around and find the smile that fell away
Forget the sounds, your mind returns as you persuade
Your soul is set, the smaller things now matter more
Ignorance, don’t even think that you forgot
Betrayal, that reminder of the past
You feel the memories feeding denial now at last
There’s something lost, the walls now play the song
And as you come around, the mirror shows you what is wrong
Nothing belongs
It’s nothing for long
Deception, the smoke has swept away
Denying loss, it’s now too late because I’ve paid
The reflections fade, is there still something I can see?
Hold the mirror close, I’ll never let it go until it’s me
My mirror of smoke
The mirror of blame
But there was never much hope
Never again
