Mirror Mirror
Mirror mirror on the wall
Why does the person
In my reflection
Not love me at all
Her eyes are sad tunnels
Paved with lonely tracks
Dark subways
All to her brain is where they lead back
She needs
No stops on this ride
Just memories and moments
She always tries to zip by
Have to be fast
Or a stop she may take
Just to go down
A memory
On one of her
Old lanes
Stalling her brains' train
Creating a pile-up
Of all the new and old memories
and again
She gets stuck
But this is not new
This is actually deja vu
It’s this cycle she made
Where she
Purposely misses her brains' train
She thinks she can ignore
All her pain
If she just pushes it off to another time
On another day
Regretting her choice to just ignore
Her own voice
Catch the train
Tend to hearts pain
Send a message with the cargo
Delivery is a little late today
Will be sent in pieces
That she chips away
As she actually found a conductor
To guide her on her way
As
A reflection is just an echo of
your perception from your brain
One you can change, when you decide
To get on the healing train
Stop waiting for bad feelings to come
Just take new memories with you on your way
Maybe to the playground where all
Your good memories play
Next stop
Happy street for me, today.
