Mirror
Mirror
Why do you look at me with disappointed eyes?
Your face mangled with disgust my face you despise.
Words you use like poisonous darts to pierce my skin
You would like to go deeper to the heart of it within
I look back at you with the same disappointment I received
My face mangled with disgust your face looks deceived
Every morning before I go to work I see your pitiful face
As I look in the mirror you seem to fill all my empty space
Profanity I spew at you which you give back in return
Just leave me alone it’s my life is and none of your concern!
I look deep into the image I see in the mirror’s reflection
And the image I see is not a stranger but my own deception
