Miracles
I wonder why my memory keeps
wandering back to a place.
Surrounded by people
yet locked in our deep space.
I reflect upon the details
from hello until goodbye
too much too little or too late
Stand for once electric eyes.
I think static perceptions
kept the energy alive.
Time is usually wasted
Yet eye to eye we survived.
I understand the silence
feeling quite the celebrity
a sensitive and gifted soul
maybe connected genetically
I speculate a miracle
was happening undercover
I gathered from the start
you were a poem lover.
I contemplate short talk
then realize thats too beneath.
My mouth starts to ramble
and I start to chomp my teeth.
I muse at my surroundings
stunned at where I am
Knowing that i belong here
I should have the same number of fans.
I meditate outside
swinging on the swing
breathing in the oxygen
concentrating on the green.
I marvel at my life
and how it's connected
synchronicity at play
reveling the unexpected.
I puzzle the pieces that have
all been misplaced
Like a bolt of lightening
They are suddenly interlaced.
I stand in awe of your face
your brows the same as mine.
You feel like my brother
mixed with a lover's vine.
I feel nothing beneath my feet
gravity is missing.
Ever since that night
I'm forever reminiscing.
I believe in fate and
chances that we miss
But miracles sometimes happen
and you'll never be dismissed.
