Minor Cold
The last lunar month rings in the Minor Cold,
The magpies begin to build new nest mold.
Some look for food along the river banks while
Up on treetops others carry wisps of hay to pile.
Wild geese start to fly northward;
Pheasants commence singing from now onward.
Although it is still rigid winter,
The first lunar month of spring approaches nearer
