Notes About The Poem

2025-05-02 MINGLE Poetry Contest

Mingle

To mix and mingle with other humans
is what makes us social beings.
There is a time when being social
is very difficult. Grief does that.

Monsters who don't understand
Insecurity walks closely with grief
Not everyone is compassionate
Going out in public is sometimes hard
Leaving early happens very often
Everyone experiences grief in some form

Be compassionate to others
Show kindness and let your heart speak
to someone that is hurting
That can make a difference to one who is grieving

And yet, if the grieving person goes out in public, he/she should be ready to mix in. Otherwise, better to stay in 'til ready to face 'life' again. ~ Just sayin,' gw

I love that your comment is a poem. Yes, I have stayed in a lot the last year. But life does go on and you can join in or watch from afar. I am trying to live my life, although it is a lot different than it was on this day a year ago.
