Mind Working Slow
Mind Working Slow
Lately, my mind has been working slow,
I think the mechanics are on the go.
It’s hard to concentrate on here or there,
You might catch me in a dead-end stare.
Can’t write a lick, can’t think at all,
Instead of speeding, I can barely crawl.
Lately, my mind has been shutting down,
Sometimes I swear it’s not around.
It goes one way, then stops in its tracks,
It should be racing, but it’s too relaxed.
Did the mouse fall off the spinning wheel?
Confused is the only way I feel.
Lately, my mind has been playing tricks,
I wish I knew how to get it fixed.
Is there a doctor around how knows the cure?
I need some help, that’s for sure.
Oh help me, help me, help me please,
Everything is loose, I’m afraid to sneeze.
