Mind Tricks
A mind can be a helpful thing
Like the memories it brings
When we need to laugh and smile
Forgetting troubles for a while
Or teaches us the things we need
In this life so we succeed
Doing things we love to do
Makes life happy through and through
It gets funny in the night
Sometimes giving us a fright
Seeing shadows everywhere
Forming monsters for a scare
It can lock away the past
From times we didn't want to last
That caused us pain and lots of sorrow
Wanting a better tomorrow
When someones asks whats on your mind
You don't know what they might find
Something funny, sad or scary
Happiness or something weary
Surprising us each time we see
What's in our mind and memory
