Mind Sculptress

The wilderness of my mind,
Thoughts race, a whirlwind now begins.
A vast expanse of anything,
Imagination the puppet, me the strings.

To believe is a simple notion,
Exercising the right to concede.
Plenty of nowhere’s and nothing’s,
And the little bits caught in-between.

Tutoring it in fads and fancies,
Deciding what whims I may care.
Focusing on what makes things right,
No artist could ever compare.

Flippant it seems as I guide it,
As I sail through the shallows of focusing thought.
Refurbish my matter, rebuild it,
Introduce each new thing I’ve been taught.

Escort my mind through a maze of “why”,
Hunger for knowledge unbound.
Nurture it, feed it, encourage it to grow,
Alienating it from shallow ground.

Exercising the ability of recall.
Concentration the tool of my works.
The ability to see with my eyes closed,
Helps me picture and feel past hurts.

As I soldier on through the maze in my mind,
As I have expanded myself, I can see.
In the midst of everything, nothing and something,
Turn the cogs in the wheel that is me.

You ARE good. Very rich subject matter that's easy for me to connect with. Another 7, there Lindsay.
