Mind Over Matter
Realization, sometimes is not our friend.
Especially when it shows you an end.
You think you've found a love so true.
But in the end, the only one that loved, was you.
Isn't it funny when you think your life's on track?
And with a sharp pain, you've been stabbed in the back.
You do everything that special person did ask.
Even when it felt wrong or was a loathsome task.
Not do they care how you think or feel.
Just as long as you close the deal.
In the end, its you that ends up in pain.
As they are the ones with everything to gain.
Its them that think they have truly won.
But you'll have the last laugh when its done.
Because wickedness and evil, can never truly prevail,
When good people live their life and you live it well.
