Mind Games

MIND GAMES

(Mind games in shadows
Mind games, let’s play
You’re my child
I’ll have my way)

I’ve brushed your hair
So dark and so fair
Caressing your ears
With musical ware

I’ve soothed my child
With masked lullaby
Your face before me
To dreamland you’d fly

(Mind games in shadows
Mind games, let’s play
You’re my child
I’ll have my way)

I’ve taught your lessons
You’d sing for me
For hours and hours
In rhapsodic melody

Two personalities
Of the same mirror
You are the shadow
I approach nearer

(Mind games in shadows
Mind games, let’s play
You’re my child
I’ll have my way)

You’re fully woman
I am half-man
With hidden desires
I have a plan

I shall make you mine
In every way
Sing for me my beauty
Sing for me today

(Mind games in shadows
Mind games, let’s play
You’re my child
I’ll have my way)

This was really nice Kim. The repeating verse fit perfectly and the change of direction led the mind wandering through your stanzas.
