Millions of Lies

Open your eyes
You’ll see millions of lies
Outside everyday

From your warm safe place
 You’ll hear contradiction
Countless opinions
They can never fade away

People who suffer
People who prosper
There’s no escape
From the outside looking in

Can you move away?
From this continuous change
Can you squeeze your eyes?
And take it on the chin

When it’s time to sleep
It’s time to leave
This force fed poison in our veins

Just to wake up again
And realise that nothing’s
Really going to change
