Miles Away

This is love
That's what I told you
Then I left
I walked past you and out the door

As the months went by
You waited for me
Thinking I would realize
Just how it should be
But those months turned to years
maybe together but never for real
A friendship with tears
Just wasn't good enough

I let you go because I thought I didn't care
There was only so long
To live this life was wrong
Now she's miles away
With another man

When we talk I stand
I keep my feelings in the back
She deserves the happiness that she found
And I deserve the pain that I feel
