Miles Away
The words I cannot speak
To say them will make me weak
I stay strong for you
Memories will have to do
The tears come only in the day
Night brings an emotional play
I can defeat all I feel
Clasping my hands, I kneel
Praying only to myself
Inner strength is my wealth
Endless in riches
Though my heart needs stitches
Secrets kept deep inside
My word I will abide
Never to be known
We walk alone
Our direction is clear
North and south are not near
Do not turn to see my back
Walking is what I lack
My legs shake
Every step I take
I wish to be carried away
With you to stay
Just a dream for fools
Tears feeling empty pools
I'll let you go
To a life you seem to know
