Migration

Just as birds fly south to escape the cold places and then return north for the summer, so will I follow after you. May my heart grow wings and carry me over all obstacles, to the place where the sunlight dances on the surface of running rivers, and the windows and mornings all glow with the sight of you. I want to wake up to happiness. I want a life where the dream doesn't only come to me during sleep, but lays down beside me before I close my eyes. Everyday I'm asking the universe to intertwine your journey with mine and unite our fates, from first dates to forever after, giving me an eternity with the warmth of your smiles and your laughter.
