Migraine of a Mind

Does silence seem too loud to you?
Does the rain blind you with brightness?
I happen to have a migraine of a mind
Help me relieve this tightness.
The sky feels heavy as it sits on my shoulders
The breath of the window is ice
My thoughts lose connection and then fall awake
to my head in a blood vessel vice
Does the room feel quite upside down to you?
Do I look like I’m breathing alright?
I happen to think that these walls, floral pink
have stretched my head terribly tight.
Relief won’t come after the crest of this wave
or the next, or the next one to follow.
Migraine of a mind, slowing down time
leaving me burnt out and hollow.
