Mighty As Mountains

Two sets of three words each
  Each sets forces in motion
Mighty as mountains, vast as the ocean

The first set, "I give up"
  All momentum it quells
The future, disrupts

The other, "I love you"
  Walks you out on a limb
Your destiny magical; alternatively, grim

Utter these three words with the utmost care
  Never with a wing; always with a prayer

Before we were married, I told my wife if I ever tell you "I love you" it will be a proposal. Well, in a moment of rapture, I said it, and she immediately said, "I will!" I said, "Will what?"
