Midnight Melody

Midnight melody
Carefully listen the notes
That beat peaceful heart

Renews the old plays
On the long life’s pathway paved
By flowers and thorns

Seasonal blossoms
Propelled to move forward and
Sneak all firm barriers

Sometimes bent down
Or stood on tiptoes to smell
Assorted flowers

Midnight melody
Recalls color, shape and scent
While the thorns go away

Human is precious!
Midnight melody feathered
Simple soul to fly

Such a meaningful, beautiful and lustrous strand of haiku, Xaysouvanh. Your wondrous imagery is stirring. Warmest wishes.. ~Susan
