Midday Nap

At stark midday

           The guava tree's swishing leaves

Rustles my sleep

-----------------------------
- So I opened my soup and read a few poetry. It eased my mind back into warmth. And now
I'm tired again, and more equipped to take on mid day dreams.

Salute to everyone here.... I'm glad to have found this amazing site!

This is a very cool and breezy poem. It's the first haiku I've actually enjoyed.

Nice use of imagery. I like the way you use sound in this poem. Thank you for contributing you creativity to "Tidbits." This is the first time I've tried something like this. I am excited how it is growing, a tribute to so many talented writers at Poetry Soup. I'm glad to hear you feel that way too. Karen
