Mettlesome Vs Meddlesome

The woman was angry and called me dumb.
Because I had nicknamed her mettlesome.
Mixing up this word
With another- so absurd.
The mean adjective that is meddlesome.

I quickly showed her this tiny mistake.
Stubborn her head was as hard as a rake.
She kept a grudge.
Thus I called her “pudge”
So I guess best friends we will never make.

An understandable mistake for anyone to make I myself would have to say. :) Enjoyed! :) john

I have to tell you, I was looking through the dictionary, wishing I knew more words when Mettlesome popped up and into my lap and I knew I had to do something with it.

Some people just can’t handle a nickname. How about kettlesome...likely to get steamed.

I love that. Kettlesome. Hmmmmm I am trying to figure out what my third limerick could be now, Kim. Maybe we should collaborate on it?
