Met Your Match

How can an arsonist get pleasure
From starting a fire
Is it a compulsion or is it a desire
to see what damage can be done
With just one match

Is it a game for notoriety or fame
Without a thought of anguish brought to others
With just one match

It's hard to believe or even conceive
That there are many out there
That gets very excited when they have ignited
A fire
With just one match

Would these firebugs understand other thugs
Who decided to light a fire in the night
At the arsonist's patch
With just one match

Thank you for your comment It must have been hard for you to accept that a friend could do such a thing. I think it may be a sickness that they have little or no control over and need help. ( very sad )
