The rustling leaves on
This beautiful spring day
Brought a message from your soul
In the ground where you lay
The warmth of the sun
Reminds me of your embrace
Dressed in black
Veil of Venetian lace
My love of my life
And no one will know
The emptiness that’s left
My heart with a hole
The birds they miss you
The cats as well
Sleep my darling
While the spring flowers swell
