Mercy Unveiled

Freeze away the fire
Between me and you
Take out evil desire
From my heart so true

My heart is torn apart somehow
What's happening now? What now?
Your touch and sarcastic humor is hollow from the start
Don't swallow me whole with your shallow deathcart

Shed away the bitter fretfulness
Forget me not, inner happiness
Don't ignore the gladness that grows
Don't shy away from the sun that glows

Something isn't right and I can feel it inevitably
Someone is missing out on a good opportunity
Drain away the numbness in your soul's high spirits
Hey you, stop complaining and throwing your childish fits!

Fade away the mark of mere shame...
Disgrace just came out of the blue
Can't help myself, a young child to tame
My face's shadow is lost, who knew

Well, I'm sorry I've done you oh so much pitiful wrong
I'm not sorry that I chose to be happy and to belong
I'm still learning self-control and I've tried and failed
But, God knows and still loves me so...mercy unveiled
