Mercury

The great force
That may raise me to a saintly cloud.
I walk an air of calm delivery,
Above the torrent and hollow reproach
To the gaping breath and bliss, I say!
Send each thought into the winds, dipped in mercury.
For truly, there is none more beautiful than the open sky,
When it is seen through the view of the solitary eye.

Gallant and euphoric ... I don't think I've used those words to describe poetry before...but they certainly apply to this lovely 'floating on air' poem :)

"I walk an air of calm delivery"- another awesome line that I wish I had penned myself. You said to me you wish you could match my ability to be brief and impactful; well, I believe you absolutely have the skill to do the same; you have demonstrated it here. I look forward to reading more of your work; please, post more! :)

hey SKAT, cheers, this was something I once just wrote looking out the window in a science lesson, so its fairly old. Found it again the other day but thought i'd upload it, for me encapsulates everything I live for, so I'm glad other people can also find similar joy in nature, thankyou

Hey thanks, really glad you're enjoying my poetry, SKAT aswell, always feel a bit unsure about what I write till someone comments, so thankyou. Yeah, this one feels slightly different to others when I read it again the other day, not exactly sure why. It's short, but conveys a point very close to my heart, glad you like it.
