Mental Pain

Do you know how to cope with pain? The kind that lingers in your brain. The more you try to change its course, The more it smiles without remorse. Its tentacles reach inside your heart, And then it tears your soul apart. This mental pain that comes from hell, Confines your sanity in a cell. But when you look inside your self, You start to put it on a shelf. For mental pain is but a thought, And you can cure the pain you wrought.

My daughter suffers from depression I keep trying to get her to meditate, to look inside herself and change her thoughts. Your write is so true, mental pain is but a thought. Brilliant Carlos

Oh Elizabeth, thank you for sharing. Depresion is real and all we can do is give love and support. We must live in the moment and let go of the pass.
