Mending

Mending well through
These days I’d never thought
It would end this way
I always thought
It would be less pain but
Really the pain has gone away
No more tears no more hurt
Just happiness within my heart,
Even though
The memories we shared will
Never some how disappear I
Have done quite well with hiding them
Not thinking not wondering
Where you are or what
You do just thinking of the
Future ahead and how
I am to make it
Through and through
So heading for the light ahead
And piecing my heart
Back together again.
