Mend

I don't need you to say that you love me, when the facts I already see.
But when we are not together, do you ever think of me?
Some may say love drives you insane.
To be heartless, it's inhumane.
Indeed, if you let it, it can make you mad, incredibly sad.
For it is an unpredictable emotion.
It can cause so much destruction.
Just like a volcanic, deadly, eruption.
No one knows why people fall in love.
Is it a curse or a blessing from above?
I haven't found the answer, yet.
Reminiscing on the day that we met.
Maybe it will take years or I may never possess the truth.
I've been looking for love since my youth.
Living in the moment, before it ends.
Time is an ally, the heart with it, mends.
I'm not saying goodbye, I'll see you tomorrow.
For I'm no longer full of pain, or sorrow.
