Stood in the limelight
In grand throes of ladyhood
A debut laced with roses

Dancing with father,
Tears mirrored end of young play
An age of innocence, done

When I was 18th my parents didn't know yet this kind of celebration. They just threw me a big buffet birthday party without wearing gown. My nieces and younger cousins had theirs.
