Notes About The Poem

Memory of the Moment

Memory Of The Moment

It took me and it shook me
it cut me through and through.
When if only for a moment
I saw inside of you.

I felt your heart get broken
I saw each time you tried.
I felt the anguish in your soul
I heard the tears you cried.

It seems I saw you falling
and then I saw you rise.
The innocence forever gone
tears still in your eyes.

I felt you growing stronger
like a flower in the rain.
The hurt no longer binds you
the scars though still remain.

Forever I'll remember
the day when we first met.
The memory of the moments
that we cannot forget.
