Memory Box

A box of memories under my bed A list of what’s inside still in my head And every now and then late in the night I bring its contents out into the light I keep this thing so I recall my tears I keep that one to overcome my fears This one shows me just how far I have come That one’s a reminder I am not done A quick look might turn into hours passed I contemplate how time goes by so fast Then I move on from old into the new I close the box and hide it from my view
