Memories With You
When the call came that you weren't well,
I didn't want it to be your final farewell.
I cried for hours because I wasn't there.
My heart just wasn't at all prepared.
So I prayed, and Yes, received a reply,
"It's not up to you, you need to comply".
So, it's OK, God's calling you home
To eternity in heaven you belong.
It's a difficult time to say just when
Your situation will be the final win.
Angels have gathered around your bed
Awaiting their command to go ahead.
Maw maw, I'll miss your unique love.
I'm always proud to be a part of
Memories with you, I'm so blessed.
Even now as you lay to rest.
