Memories vs Merits
The good times, and the fitness
In albums bearing witness
Has no bearing on the test
That decrees eternal rest.
The stakes are risen rather
Though merits wisely gathered
Like, kindness to our kin,
For example, is a win.
Spreading random love
Should also score Above
While charities, well spent,
Ensures a rich ascent.
In any case, they’ll place
On the mantles, our face
Then frolic near the shelf
Making memories of self.
