Memories Remain

Memories Remain

It is always about this time of year
I take a walk down memory lane
I pick and choose ones I like best..
Memories of her have remained

They sparkle in my memory bank
As I pull them out one by one
I cherish each one as they are played
Dancing and lovely until each is done

Some will make me laugh
Yes and some always make me cry
They are so precious each of them
Memories never say good bye

There was one she made me cry
And the one she made me mad
I always loved her and she loved me
Things were never very bad

They are memories of my mother
Addressed Sweet Memory Lane
Tucked deep inside my heart
Where Memories of her …..
                                  have remained
